Great Timing Ron. Last month I completed the integration of a DS1307 RTC and HMC6352 Compass on PICAXE 20X2 I2C. Added a LM34 and Serial 2X16 LCD giving a super Time/Date/Temp/Heading console for my VW poptop. Adding the 24LC256 eeprom for data capture gave me some trouble with hi2setup but once figured out the eeprom worked fine. Your article is 100% correct but arrived a week after I finished. Super, the info on byte and page memory access was very helpful. Now I’m inspired to make use a new picaxe 08x with I2C interface to a standard 2X16 parallel LCD. Thanks for the article.
