Matrix keypads are not terribly sexy and exciting. However, they are very useful for stand-alone embedded projects. Combine one with an LCD or other display, and the basis for many useful practical projects are at our disposal. See show to implement them in applications such as puzzles and locks for recently popular escape rooms.
