Jim, In a Wiki article at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AA_battery it lists the ratings using 500mA for AA batteries of various types. Let’s assume your LEDs and circuits are 50% efficient for the 12 Volt battery running it up to 20 Volts, so it uses 300mA @ 12V to get the 150 mA… ~ PhilKE3FL
RE: TECH Knowledge 2013, March Pg 10, “Slicing with sound” The photo comment says, “Artificial kidney stone with 150 m opto-acoustically created hole.” That must be some extremely large kidney stone to be able to sport a 150 meter diameter hole! I hope it’s not a 150 meter radius hole!… ~ PhilKE3FL
Hi, Thanks for the interest in the Trainer. I design all my own PCBs with an archaic program (runs under Windows 3.1!) which doesn’t support Gerber or other exports. So, sorry, but I can’t help you out. I’ve always just etched my own boards with a homemade affair, using PnP… ~ Thomas_Henry
I loved this article on the PIC trainer and want to make one for myself. The only problem is I am not able to make my own PCBs. Does anyone know of any way to get the gerber files so that I may have a board made? I was not… ~ random
I finally made the changes to the files and it is now downloading and running. I have no word back from Sainsmart yet…. ~ robboz4
